Joondalup Athletics Centre recognises that everyone has the right equality and inclusion in the sport of Athletics. We understand the equal importance of exercise upon the health of every member of our community and that people with disabilities should be provided with the same opportunities as their able-bodied peers.
We encourage people with both physical and mental disabilities to join Joondalup Athletics Club and become a member of our community. We are passionate about encouraging participation alongside able-bodied athletes and making adaptations where required to ensure maximum participation and enjoyment.
Where athletes require assistance of a guide we encourage our athletes to learn the skills required to assist their peers, providing them with opportunities to be matched with the perfect partner to assist them in their athletics journey. This provides members with excellent partnership and trust skills for the future.
If you are considering athletics but are unsure if it is suitable for you, please contact our development officers to discus the options available to you.
We look forward to welcoming people of all abilities to Joondalup Athletics Centre
