Sisters IGA donate $2,000

Sisters IGA are a long-time supporter of Joondalup Little Athletics Centre and on 6 January 2012 they increased that support by donating $2,000 from their Community Chest fund to JLAC. We thank Cate and all the team and encourage all our members to shop at Sisters IGA at Lakeside Joondalup!

Timetables for January and February 2012 Released!

The programs for the 'Open Program' Meets in January and February are available:

For Under 9s and up, nominations are now open for all meets: email president@jlac.org.au with the four events you wish to nominate for. Athletes can choose different events each week.

All January Meets are Twilights that start at 3:45pm for Walks and Under 14 High Jump with all other events starting at 4:00pm. Twlights are scheduled to finish by 6:30pm for Under 6 to Under 8s, and by 7:30pm for Under 9 and up.

Due to their small size, we have combined the Under 10 and Under 11 Boys into one group and the Under 12 and Under 13 Girls into another group for the Open Program.

Be Your Best Meet and Christmas Party 17 December 2011

We had a great Be Your Best Day and Christmas Party on 17 December! The day was so busy, we didn't have time to hand out certificates on the Day. Certificates will be available at the first Twilight meet on Saturday January 14.

Great Performances at State Relays!

We had our most successful State Relay Championships in several years winning five medals and having many teams make their Final! Congratulations to all of our athletes in the who wore their purple shirts with pride, and to the coaches and parents who supported them. Special congratulations to the following teams:

The Under 12 Girls 4x100m relay team who won gold.
The Under 11 Girls 4x100m relay team who won silver.
The Under 11 Boys 4x100m relay team who won silver.
The Under 13 Boys 4x100m relay team who won bronze.
The Under 12 Boys 4x400m relay team who won bronze.
The Under 10 Girls 4x200m relay team who won bronze.
